Question: Is there a belief that we are currently living in Biblical times and can expect an Apocalyptic event in the near future?
Apocalyptic means “Revealing”; so IMO. the answer to your question is, yes!
I have to say that my view, although personal, is shared by a considerable number of people!
I base my comments on the Bible, which If I have understood correctly, means we are entered already the events our Lord enumerated in Matt. 24 & 25!
The major signals are located in the Middle East, particularly Israel’s situations; but the whole world is labouring under events and conditions which are not conducive to “peace and safety"!
A major signal of the many around us, is the sheer overpopulation, which will probably be touching 10 Billion soon, and will carry even more problems than we already see!
The world GDP must be at least an aggregate 3.5% to be able to feed such a population; and with the “corruption in high places” Eph. 6:12, which is prophesied so strongly in the Bible in various places; the wealth which nations can produce, is “leaking” into private holdings!
Such factors as mentioned above; even with small variations, produce a negative answer!
So; it would seem that the time left prior to Revelations detailed information becoming de-facto, is limited!
